Mpower House Ribbon Cutting:

We celebrated the opening of the Joyce Mpower House in July 2026!

Supporters and community members gathered for the ribbon-cutting of this state-of-the-art digital arts training facility for youth in Chicago’s West Englewood community. The Joyce Mpower House is owned by MFS and is operated by its Calumet Center. It also is part of the We Grow Peace Campus, a collective of locally led community organizations. MFS is honored to be a We Grow partner.

We are deeply grateful to benefactors Ashley and Michael Joyce and the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, as well as Norsman Architects and Property Adventures, for making the Joyce Mpower House a reality!

The Joyce Mpower House is exposing youth to training for 21st-century careers in digital technology. This high-tech hub serves as a place of learning, creativity and discovery designed to help youth realize their full potential through music, media, technology, design and more. Youth are empowered to explore new possibilities, develop talents, and become the next generation of innovators, artists and leaders.
